REHABILITATION AND INTENSIVE DOG TRAINING
Elite K9 is a specialized center for canine behavioral rehabilitation, offering intensive boarding programs to help dogs with behavioral issues live in harmony with their owners and society. Elite K9 provides a personalized behavioral rehabilitation program designed to improve both your dog’s life and yours: THE BOARDING REGIME. With intensive training focused on restructuring rules and boundaries, this program is ideal for dogs exhibiting behavioral problems such as separation anxiety, aggression, fears and phobias, or socialization challenges, particularly when their owners are unable to manage them in a domestic routine or lack the time for daily training sessions.

UNDERSTAND THE REHABILITATION PROCESS
The Boarding Regime is a behavioral restructuring program consisting of an average of 90 training sessions per month, tailored to the owner’s goals, including guard training. It is divided into four key phases:
PHASE 1: Building trust and strengthening the relationship between the trainer and the dog
Similar to humans seeking treatment for behavioral issues, it is often recommended to remove the individual from the environment triggering such behaviors. This allows the therapist to work in a neutral space, fostering trust and exploring new ways of thinking and acting.
The same principle applies to dogs. The home environment is often filled with triggers that provoke undesirable behaviors. By removing the dog from this context—spending at least 15 days without direct contact with its owners—the canine trainer can establish a new bond in a neutral setting. This enables the dog to connect more deeply with the trainer, free from the distractions and associations of its home.
In this system, your dog is closely monitored daily by our professionals, ensuring the consistency of the training and quicker learning. While you may be physically distant, we maintain regular communication to update you on your dog’s progress.
PHASE 2: Gradual reintegration
After 15 days of intensive and focused training away from the family environment, the next step is to gradually reintegrate the dog into its routine and teach the owners how to apply the learned techniques.
Once the dog is ready to perform tasks during a session alongside its owner, the owner is encouraged to attend group lessons on Saturdays at 10 AM, with the location determined by the trainers. These sessions allow owners to learn commands and monitor weekly progress.
From the third month, the dog may spend weekends at home with its owner. This stage is essential for solidifying new behaviors and ensuring the long-term success of the rehabilitation process.
PHASE 3: Return home
At this stage, after intensive training and gradual reintegration, it’s time to evaluate whether the rehabilitation objectives have been achieved. This testing phase involves allowing the dog to return home and observing its behavior in its natural environment. The goal is to confirm that the newly learned behaviors are firmly established and that the initial behavioral issues have been resolved.
PHASE 4: Individual or group training sessions
Canine rehabilitation is an ongoing process. Even after completing formal training, it’s crucial for owners to continue investing
in their dog’s well-being by providing mental stimulation, physical activities, and a secure environment. Elite K9 offers both individual and group training sessions to ensure continued progress and reinforcement of the learned behaviors.
Key Considerations for Successful Rehabilitation
The success of canine rehabilitation depends on several factors, including:
- The severity of the behavioral problem.
- The commitment of the owners to follow the trainer’s guidance.
- Consistency in implementing the training methods.
With patience, dedication, and the support of a qualified professional, it is possible to transform a dog’s life and strengthen the bond with its family.
Program Duration and Fees
The program is based on a 90-day duration with a fixed monthly fee. This fee remains unchanged regardless of the time it takes for the dog to complete the training successfully.

Quick Answers to Your Most Common Questions
The Boarding Regime offers a unique opportunity for your dog to restore balanced behavior by removing them from the environment where certain unwanted behaviors were developed. By distancing them from the influences that may have contributed to issues such as anxiety, reactivity, or aggression, Boarding provides a controlled and safe environment where the dog can fully focus on the rehabilitation process.
During the Boarding program, your dog benefits from intensive training and constant monitoring by certified professionals, helping them adopt new habits and learn appropriate behaviors more quickly and effectively. This approach reduces the time needed to see results and promotes a lasting transformation, bringing balance and harmony to the relationship between your dog and your family.
We know that each dog has its own pace and needs. Our Boarding Regime lasts a minimum of 3 months, with flexibility to extend based on the initial assessment and the behavioral goals we set with you. During this period, intensive training is carried out to address behavioral issues, reinforce obedience, and promote healthy socialization. To ensure solid and lasting results, additional time is often recommended.
To keep you updated on progress, we send regular reports with photos and videos. After the boarding period, we offer 2 months of group lessons on Saturdays to consolidate learning and help your dog adjust at home.
The facilities are comfortable and secure, and the feeding is tailored to your dog’s needs. We maintain regular communication with you, sending progress reports and photos so you can follow each stage of your companion’s evolution.
Visits are allowed, but they are scheduled to avoid interrupting the training and adaptation process. To provide you with the reassurance that your dog is progressing, we send weekly reports with photos, videos, and details about your dog’s progress, such as advances in obedience and socialization. This way, you can track every step of the development and stay involved in the process. Our certified team ensures transparent and continuous support, giving you peace of mind throughout the Boarding Program.
For the safety and well-being of all, we require that your dog’s vaccinations are up to date, including rabies, distemper, and kennel cough, as well as regular treatments for internal and external parasites. Any illnesses must be reported, and medication will only be administered with a veterinary prescription. We also conduct an initial evaluation to understand your dog’s behavioral needs and ensure that the boarding program is suitable for them. This way, we guarantee a safe environment prepared for a healthy behavioral transformation.
We understand that each dog responds uniquely to the boarding program. If your dog shows signs of discomfort, we adjust the training as needed to provide a positive experience. We maintain contact with you, sharing reports and discussing any adjustments to ensure your dog’s well-being throughout the entire process.
The cost of the Boarding Program reflects the value of a positive and lasting change.
